Frequently Asked Questions
This section covers the questions travelers ask most often before booking a tour in Azerbaijan — how payment works, what to expect logistically, and practical details for the day of the trip. The answers come straight from our guides and coordinators, the people who run these routes every day and know the details firsthand.
Guides don't carry a card terminal on-site, so the main tour cost is settled in cash. If you'd rather not think about cash on the day, you can choose full prepayment when booking.
Yes, most add-on costs during the tour — museum entry, extra activities, lunch — can be paid by card. The one exception is the 4x4 vehicle surcharge, if your specific itinerary includes one.
It depends on the format. For group tours, payment is made when you meet your guide, right before the tour starts. For private tours, a 20% deposit is required at booking, with the balance paid on-site when you meet your guide.
Tours run on modern, comfortable vehicles — including the Mercedes Sprinter, Toyota Hiace, and Mercedes Vito, plus sedans for smaller groups. The vehicle is matched to the size of each specific group.
All vehicles meet tourism transport standards, with seat spacing designed to stay comfortable even on longer drives.
For private tours, transport preferences can be discussed in advance and a more personalized vehicle arranged for an extra fee.
Group tours typically cap at 18 people. That size keeps things balanced — guides can still give everyone attention, and the atmosphere stays relaxed rather than crowded.
Weather across Azerbaijan's regions can shift quickly, so it's best to check the forecast the day before your tour. We recommend planning your clothing and gear accordingly so the day stays comfortable no matter the conditions.
Tours run in nearly all weather conditions, and cancellations are rare. If conditions do turn genuinely unfavorable, we'll reach out in advance to offer an alternative date or format, keeping both safety and comfort in mind.
For group tours, canceling at least 24 hours before departure gets you a full refund. For private tours, the 20% deposit is non-refundable at booking, but the remaining balance is refunded if you cancel within the agreed timeframe.
Current group tour prices already include this month's active promotion. On top of that, children and seniors get an additional 25% discount, making the trip more accessible without cutting into the experience.
The evening before, after 8 PM, our team finalizes the next day's schedule and assigns groups to guides. Your guide then reaches out directly with everything you need for an easy meetup:
- the exact pickup location;
- a photo of your guide, so you can spot them easily;
- the vehicle's number and details.
That way, finding your group and your ride is simple, with no back-and-forth needed.

Our routes run along smooth roads with gentle turns, so most guests don't experience any discomfort along the way.
It's a real mix — couples, families with kids, and solo travelers all join the same tours. That blend is part of what makes the atmosphere friendly, bringing together people with a shared interest in Azerbaijan's culture and nature.
There are no nationality restrictions — our tours bring together guests from all over the world. Each group ends up genuinely international, with travelers from different countries connecting, swapping stories, and discovering Azerbaijan together, which only makes the trip more interesting.
Standard group tours don't include car seats, but every vehicle has seatbelts as a baseline safety measure.
For private tours, a car seat can be arranged in advance for an extra fee.
Strollers are welcome — there's room for them in the luggage compartment. Just keep in mind that some parts of the route may not be stroller-friendly, so a baby carrier can be a more practical option for those stretches.
Group tours run on a fixed schedule, since other guests are traveling with you — the vehicle departs on time out of respect for everyone's plans. We recommend arriving at the pickup point a little early so you can start the tour relaxed, without rushing.

Water isn't provided on board, but the first stop comes just 15 minutes after departure and lasts about 15 minutes — plenty of time to grab drinks or a snack you'll actually enjoy, plus a quick stretch before continuing.
Insurance for international guests generally isn't arranged as part of the tour — we recommend securing your own travel insurance before the trip.

Not on group tours — since families and children are often part of the group, this keeps the atmosphere comfortable and respectful for everyone. On private tours, this can be discussed in advance, and with responsible use of the vehicle, it's sometimes possible.
